Hi Mamas, if I had to guess, I'd say…

You didn’t have time to get to the yoga studio

The self-care book said you just need to “Go get a pedicure!” But that didn’t really help you get traction on your dream.

You tried meditating and you’re pretty sure you did it completely wrong

When you tried to relax in a bubble bath, you just ended up cleaning the bathtub

Part of the reason

why all the traditional self-care advice for moms doesn’t actually make us feel any dreamier is that, even if you could figure out how to get to yoga, or get a lovely massage, YOU’RE STILL GONNA COME HOME TO ALL THE STUFF THAT STRESSES YOU OUT.

You still have only 24 hours in a day, you still need to help with homework, and you still need to respond to tantrums without losing your *stuff*.

In order to feel like you are living your dream, you need something that will help you be calm and nurtured and nourished on a daily basis- not a yearly vacation away with the girls. OK, maybe that too!

Let me make one more guess:

You guys, mindfulness is the secret sauce and you will want to come back to this session time and time again for that reason. Without mindfulness any traction you get on your dreams is for nothing because you won’t be able to ENJOY it, you’ll just be going through the motions

What is mindfulness? Good question!

Mindfulness is a simple practice that can help you soothe your screaming toddler as he throws a fit in the cereal aisle, remain calm when your five-year-old unexpectedly redecorates his bedroom with Sharpies, AND help you be joyfully present for the all the small sweet moments in between.

So, when you are choosing which specific dream to capture, mindfulness will

It can help you be the mom — and the YOU — that you want to be.

and here’s how the pros define it:

Let me tell you a bit more about how mindfulness transformed my own experience of motherhood, then we will practice!

Several years ago, as I struggled with postpartum depression and anxiety, I began to read about mindfulness.

Of course! I thought, I just need to be more mindful! Thank goodness I read this book! And then I tried to be mindful. Without any of the meditating…. I didn’t want to waste my precious time sitting on a cushion doing nothing! That sounded sooo boring and I mean, I had all this parenting I had to do!  I couldn’t just SIT THERE!

But I realized that mindfulness didn’t work if I just read about it and liked the idea of it.

Once I started actually meditating... ... my life started to change.

In the last several years, I’ve taught mindfulness to hundreds of mothers, and I am so excited help you too.

And you don’t just have to believe me. There is a growing body of research out there that tells us when MOTHERS practice mindfulness….

They experience less stress and anxiety

They build stronger relationships with their children

They feel less overwhelmed by the demands of motherhood

Heir children experience less stress and anxiety!
